With long held poses this is a deeply meditative form of Yoga that incorporates an understanding of the meridians and wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. Whilst most forms of yoga work directly with the muscles of the body, Yin is uniquely focussed on lengthening, strengthening and nourishing the connective tissues, deep fascia, ligaments, tendons and joints.
